Rights in a Motion Picture : Under the Indian Copyright Act 1957

Following rights can be claimed in a movie / motion picture under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957

a.     Story of the Film;             

b.     Screenplay / Script of the Film;

c.     Literary material consisting of the screenplay of “Death At A Funeral” and any and all versions and revisions thereof and all writing and materials relating thereto;

d.     All derivative production rights;

e.     The right to make remakes of the Film;

f.      The right to make sequels of the Film.

g.     The right to make prequels of the Film;

h.     Characters of the Film;

i.      All translations;

j.      All adaptations.
